An automated system usually knows only whether a digital action occurred. It does not know whether you were injured, asleep, offline, busy, or simply forgot.
Trusted contacts remain decision-makers
The recipient uses context to decide what to do next. That may begin with calling or messaging you, trying another contact, or using local emergency services when circumstances justify it.
Use appropriate dedicated services when needed
People with medical, occupational, or high-risk needs may require monitored alarms, professional services, specialized hardware, or other systems designed for those risks.

NinjaAssurance is a safety check-in and SMS escalation tool. It is not an emergency, rescue, medical, security, or guaranteed monitoring service. In an immediate emergency, contact local emergency services directly.
A missed check-in is not an emergency dispatch
An automated reminder is a communication cue. It cannot assess breathing, injury, location, crime, or the urgency of a situation, and NinjaAssurance does not call rescue or medical responders. Your chosen contacts decide how to react based on context. They should not wait for a scheduled alert if someone is known to be in immediate danger.
If a person needs 24-hour staffed monitoring, a regulated medical alarm, employer-led lone-worker protection or specialist emergency signalling, a normal check-in app is not a substitute. It can still be one non-critical part of a wider plan when the limitations are understood.
